About Ficebodiecel
An academy assembled by tired students.
Ficebodiecel was founded in 2020 by three serious collectors and two working perfumers who'd realised the niche perfumery education they wished existed didn't — there were sales counters, brand-funded YouTubers, and unstructured forum threads, but no academy. We built one. Quietly, with proper teachers, and on the assumption that students of fragrance deserve the same scholarly seriousness extended to students of wine, classical music, or architecture.
How the academy works
Every course is taught by a named instructor with relevant credentials — a working perfumer, a published critic, or a domain historian. Courses are structured, exercise-driven, and paired with study lists. We don't run them like a YouTube playlist.
How we earn trust
No paid placements. No house-sponsored modules. No affiliate stacks. Tuition and memberships fund the academy, which means our coverage is accountable to students rather than brands. We're often quite critical of houses we cover; we'd be embarrassed not to be.

Working perfumers wanting structured peer education. Aspiring critics building their vocabulary. Collectors moving from accumulation to study. Hobbyists who'd rather study fragrance properly than chase the next viral release.
